I Review: Eucerin Dermo Purifyer

I had heard so much about Eucerin Dermo Purifyer  and how great it was that I had to try it on my skin.

I purchased my Eucerin products from Clicks and the price ranges between R 70 to R 300 for a product which I found extremely reasonable compared to the products am used to.

I have to say that I was very skeptical of the brand especially that I did not know it before I purchased it but hey, we are living on the edge. At first sight the packaging was so fresh and simple. Which I loved. And as soon as I tried it that evening it was odor free, gel looking and non greasy and this is perfect for oily sensitive skin. The consistency was just right and I loved how it felt on my skin.

I had a bit of a struggle with the cleanser as I first I felt it wasn’t cleaning up my skin enough, I still felt a bit greasy after a wash and I swapped it around for about a week but kept the rest for my regimen. I still feel that the cleanser is the only that didn’t really work the way I wanted. But it all worked out without the wash.

Eucerin has to be ranked in the middle range (price) and even though its not that high end I think that it has done very well in returning some brightness to my skin. The blemish control works if you are consistent and it worked for me, the application is easy and easily targets areas with spots. It is a really good product for its value and I it could work very well for oily skin. Not forgetting still that its affordable , making it a good entry level into the “a bit more pricey” products. Its a very good start.

Cleanser: “Gently cleanses and effectively eliminates excess sebum” I didn’t feel the product delivered on this promise for me as I felt my skin was still greasy even after a wash.

Active concentrate: “clarifies the skin and improves complexion” my complexion has definitely improved! And my skin was more hydrated.

Even brighter: “Clears spots and blemishes” I felt the product delivered on this but consistency is required.

Sun lotion Extra light: “non sticky immediate absorption, water resistant” this sun sunscreen was too greasy for me! I ended up using it on my body because it just made my face really sticky.

Scrub: “unclogs pores, refines skin texture” My skin did feel clean and soft, so I believe that it delivers on this promise.

Active night care: This was probably my favorite products! The night cream is great. I love it.

Aquaporin Active spf 25 UVB+UVA protection: “hydrating care for all skin types”this one came later than the rest and so far so good. I am for any moisturizer that has built in sunscreen for the lazy bunch. Then again it gets too things done. Moisturise and protect. 2 in 1 which is a better investment. Its very light and oil free. I was afraid of its creamy appearance but fear nothing.

I am still to finish all my products as I have about a week left and I have been using them for about 2 months. I will definitely keep Eucerin products in my skin care regimen.

Hoping you give it a try.

  1. This I didn’t know, is it for all skin types? Am currently using young solutions which seems to be working but it’s not taking away my dark spots.

  2. My skin is very dull and not looks healthy, I have tried many creams but I m not seeing any benefits. My friend has suggested me about Resveratrol Peptide Cream, she told it seems this product has many positive reviews. Planning to give a try to this product.

    1. Hello Martha!

What I always suggest it to get professional help for these things because products don’t work the same for all of us. Give the product a try but see a doctor or dermatologist because the problem might be internal.

  3. I recently obtained samples of the Eucerin range… I am so impressed. My skin never felt so good. I agree about the cleanser, I actually mixed a scrub to help clean my skin of the make-up. Looking forward to purchasing the range.
